National Beekeeping Supplies Limited (NBS) was found in 2006 as National Beekeeping Investment with the office at Dar es Salaam but in 2009 NBS expand to Dodoma and Katavi and dealing with beekeeping business in particular manufacturing and supply of modern beehives and other beekeeping gears to individual beekeepers and groups. Also it envisages trading in bee products especially   quality honey and allied products like beeswax and exporting honey outside the Country.

The vision of NBS is to become the Tanzanian leading company in promoting beekeeping industry of Tanzania through manufacturing and supplying of adequate, affordable and quality modern beekeeping equipment, producing abundant quality beekeeping products throughout the year and across seasons, providing reliable linkage between beekeepers and competitive markets, and exporting quality beekeeping products. 
Mission
The mission of NBS is to promote trade in Tanzanian beekeeping products by addressing use of affordable modern beekeeping equipment, improving quality and quantity of products, market access constraints and supporting production and marketing initiatives in line with KILIMO KWANZA initiatives for poverty alleviation, employment creation, environmental conservation and economic development of Tanzania at large.
Objectives
The primary objectives of NBS are to increase and improve the production of quality natural honey and its allied products in bulky by use of modern beekeeping techniques and supply equipment especially affordable modern beehives to Tanzanians and export to foreign markets.
       To promote environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable beekeeping initiatives. Towards this goal, we work very closely with and support numerous development organizations, farmers’ and women’s groups, as well as diverse rural communities and individual  beekeepers;
       To manufacture, market and supply affordable modern beekeeping equipment especially beehives to individual smallholder farmers, groups and beekeeping associations in Tanzania and neighboring countries for adequate and quality production of beekeeping products;
       To improve production of beekeeping products especially honey, and to increase export earnings from sale of beekeeping products both in the domestic and export markets;
       To train a core contingent of local community members and beekeeping association members in the practice of modern beekeeping techniques by use of our domestically manufactured modern beehives;
       To establish an innovative model of beekeeping micro economic enterprise which can be replicated in other parts of Tanzania and neighboring countries;
